Outback Sculpture Trail Tour
Join us on this glorious full day guided tour of the famous Sculpture Trail of the Desert Channel Country and become lost in the splendour and creativity of world renowned and gifted resident artist and sculpture Melinda Rogers within the artistic triangle of roads between Aramac, Lake Dunn and Jericho.
The Lake Dunn Sculpture Trail covers approximately 200 kilometres of some of the most picturesque outback vistas of the Central West. The trail features 40 sculptures along its way as well as the legendary GrayRock, the location of the historical Gray Rock Hotel site used back in the day as a Cobb & Co stop with its amazing array of historical grafitti.
Additionally, there is Horsetailer’s Gorge, the mystical Healing Circle and the outback oasis of Lake Dunn on offer.
The guided session of the sculptural tour will begin at the Red Roo situated at the town’s roo works in Aramac. Departure is from our Ridgee Didge Café meeting point, Barcaldine at 8.30am or pick up from your accommodation. We will travel in the comfort of our 4×4 air conditioned bus. Travel time to Aramac is approximately 45 mins with a brief photo opportunity at the historical century old rail bridge just before arrival at Aramac.
Arrival back at Barcaldine approximately 4.30pm.
